The adventurers start at Gregory's house. They talk to the Butler, Jeeves, and tell him they will find Greg. He says he's heard of DuskMaven, it's a name that has been whispered in the slums of the city. He also said that he talked to Guard Hightower.
The party goes to an inn and long rest.
They go to Duke Dechamp's house. Bardelomu knocks on the door disguised as Richard the Younger once again. Butler comes to the door, Duke is not there, Bardo gives him a note asking Duke to call him back.
They decide to go to the slums. They duck into a bar. Bep and Bardo talk to a slummy character at the bar, talk for a while, after mentioning Dusk Maven he shoots them down. But after buying him a beer, talking for a while, he says they should check out the pit fights. Dusk Maven might run it. Girl gives Aust directions to a gambling hall.
They end up at the pits down by the wall of the city. There's a big stone edifice, surrounded by a bunch of people hanging in the courtyard where there's vendors and other things. A fight barker is yelling
"Fights! Fights! Fights every nights!"
Bardo walks up to the barker.
"Hello sir, you lookin for a ticket?"
"Yeah absolutely! What's on the ticket?"
"We've got all manner of creatures, men, all dying for your pleasure!"
There's a possibility of fighting in the pit fights, get a reward. Head to the far eastern side and ask for Master P.
The heroes pay for the tickets and enter the arena. There's a few hyenas fighting a brown bear when they enter. Bep pushes to the front to watch. Brown bear brown bear wins! They kill the bear.
The adventurers mill about, talk to the riff-raff. Aust talks to some people, someone says that the Dusk Maven runs the place with his compatriots. Dusk Maven is in the dark underbelly of the city.
After milling about and convening, they decide to walk over to the fight auditions and check them out. They ask the main man (Master P) about the profit, and decide to sign up as a group. All in!
Down the stairs and around the corner they come to a group gathering where there's a bunch of people all waiting for battle. Across the way there's a large gate to the battle arena.
The guy who manages the gate opens it for the adventurers for next time!

2018-03-26 The Capital
The heroes begin rested after their encounter with 12 goblins with a goblin
boss. They continue to the capitol, Emberhold. We entered the city, Scraw (of
course), asked immediately about the whorehouse and was told to go to Hole
Alley.
They went to the local cathedral and Bep talked to the father there with great flourish. He
restocked on his holy water; the father told him about some odd fires in the
northwest, some earthquakes in the mountains, and floods in the South.
He gave him some basic advice to go to the inn/guild halls, and also mentioned a library in the city. They went to the bardhall and Bardolemu talked to the elder Bard. They went to the Inn, got a beer, and talked to the Inn keeper.
They slept, then went to the Library in the morning. Aust copied some of the
esoteric scroll onto a piece of paper and gave it to the Librarian. Aust
talked to the master Librarian Michael and leveled with him about the adventurers' story so far.
Michael said that the scroll was written in DEMONIC!! He went on, usually these
scrolls are used to summon demonic demons, among other demonic things (spells,
souls, hearts, etc).
Le Duke Dechamp is a name that the priest gave. He has baubles of questionable
origin. His personal complex is midway between Library and castle. Gregory De
Chambre is another dude, DONT KNOW much about him but he's known to frequent
theatres.
The heroes went to the bard hall to ask about the local theatres. Bard person (guild leader)
talked about a comedy of heirs at the Globe by Shilliam Wakespeare. Tragedy
wise, at the Plateau theatre (location by the same name), there is a play
called "Don't Cry Over Spilled Guts". Bard man says Gregory De Chambre sounds
familiar. The gang goes to the theatre.
Bought tickets for 1g each. Greg's got a box seat. Aust tries to find him in
the box seat and does so by telling the guards "There's a fight. There's a
fight. Two drunk dudes are wailing on this chick. You should go help." One
guard leaves, Aust bribes the other dude with 1.5G to go up and look around the boxes.
They wait until intermission instead. Bardolemu goes up to the boxes disguised
as a guard. He starts knocking on boxes one-by-one, level-by-level. He finds
Greg by propositioning them with a song. Greg's a short, you even could say
stocky, man. Nice looking clothes, bowler hat, cane, monocle. Bardolemu sings
a song about the adventure so far. Bardolemu bones out of that box!
Then Scraw approaches Greg as he comes out of the show, chats him up a bit,
then brings up the matter of great import. Greg says to come visit him later...
